Combining Catholic Teaching with Outstanding Academics
The dedicated teachers who form the core of our faculty are joined by priests of the Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) to help students deepen their understanding and commitment to the Catholic Faith and to develop a solid grasp of all academic disciplines. By fostering excellence in the spiritual, intellectual, and moral spheres, St. John Bosco prepares young men to go forth into the world and be agents for good and witnesses for truth.
"If young people are educated properly, we have moral order; if not, vice and disorder prevail. Religion alone can initiate and achieve a true education." - St John Bosco

About Our School
Grounded in Faith
Our school is authentically Catholic, rooted in Sacred Tradition, and offers a well rounded curriculum. It provides our students with the moral, intellectual, and physical foundations that men must have in a challenging world to become good citizens of the Church and the country.
Daily Mass
Keeping first things first, the school day begins with Mass in the Extraordinary Form. Our participation serves as the foundation of the day and sets the proper order for a devout Catholic life in the future. Boys can learn how to serve Mass through a separate program offered by the parish.
Academics
After Mass, the academic day begins. The curriculum utilizes Saxon Math. Reading skills are developed with select classic literature, intense writing assignments, and the Voyages in Grammar programs. Religion is based on the Baltimore Catechism and supplemented through guided discussions from our priests. Science and social studies programs are developed and taught with a Christian worldview.
Athletics
Physical activity occurs daily. Activities include soccer, football, and street hockey and generally take place in the afternoon following academics. Students learn basic social skills through team sports that translate to every day life including: teamwork, competitiveness, handling adversity, humility in success, respect for opponents, and developing/maintaining fitness.
Brotherhood
St. John Bosco is more than a school - it's a brotherhood of boys forming lifelong friendships founded on the common beliefs of the Catholic Faith.
Community Service
The boys of St. John Bosco Institute give back to their community by organizing and conducting an annual pilgrimage. This 2-day 35 mile march across central oklahoma serves as an opportunity for all faithful Catholics to come together and offer up their physical and spiritual sacrifices in defense of the traditional family and the sanctity of life. Details about the last pilgramage are available at olhcpilgrimage.org.
